I have been married for over 30 years to the mother of my two grown sons. I am devoted to personal, political, and professional activism for social justice and equality for all people. I am also active in my church and love to spend as much time as I can with my family. I believe that all people are inherently intelligent and worthy of respect and dignity.
I also believe change comes through education and self-exploration, and the power to change lies within the individual. It is my honor and privilege to join with you as you embark on a journey of change and growth. My undergraduate degree was in Education, and I taught elementary for 10 years. My master's degree was in Community Counseling, and I have been practicing counseling for over 10 years.
My Ph. D. is in Counselor Education and Supervision. I am a full time professor in the Graduate Psychology and Counseling Department at Andrews University, teaching Master's level students counseling skills and supervising their work with clients.
