Occasional anxiety is an expected part of life. You might feel anxious when faced with a problem at work, before taking a test, or before making an important decision. But anxiety disorders involve more than temporary worry or fear. For a person with an anxiety disorder, the anxiety does not go away and can get worse over time.
Services
In my therapeutic approach, I utilize cognitive-behavioral and acceptance and commitment therapies, motivational interviewing, here-and-now process, and positive psychology interventions.
In essence, I'm here to assist you in gaining insight and developing tools and problem-solving skills which can continue to serve you long after our time together has come to an end.
My goal is to help guide you through the process of meaningful change within an open and safe environment.
The approaches I take are meant to help resolve internal and external conflict and to assist in integrating all aspects of self - mind, body, spirit.
When we speak, you will have the opportunity to share a brief overview of your current concerns and to ask me any questions you may have.
Should we decide to move forward in working together, I will gather additional information from you and we will schedule an appointment.
I will be happy to walk you through any of this if it would be helpful.
When we meet, I will ask you many questions about yourself.
In this session, you will have the opportunity to begin to share with me the problems or challenges you would like to address in our work together, and to ask me any questions you may have.
