Services
Counseling, or psychotherapy, is a formal relationship between you and your therapist that helps you grow, change and heal.
With this relationship at its core, counseling at The Jonas Center helps you explore effective ways to deal with the issues that brought you to therapy and make better decisions that overcome instead of maintain those issues.
In the end, counseling helps you increase satisfaction and contentment in life.
That means our therapists are here to listen and understand, learn about you and what brings you to counseling, get to know you, and then collaborate with you on a plan to use your strengths and personal resources to deal with your concerns and heal.

Sometimes professionals recommend psychotherapy for you or your child.
In these cases, we request that they have you call us directly.
We have found that this type of approach to beginning therapy helps people take ownership of their care.
We appreciate professionals' support and encouragement.
Explaining why he or she believes therapy will be beneficial is often instrumental in helping someone take that first step.
When a professional has information that helps us understand the circumstances in which someone is seeking therapy, we welcome this input (with the person's permission) and we are proponents of coordinating care as therapy progresses.
