Pioneer Counseling Services will provide quality mental health services to the people in Uinta County, Wyoming. We believe that all individuals should have access to affordable mental health care. Pioneer Counseling Services, serving Uinta County and located in the extreme southwest corner of Wyoming, is the only full service, community based mental health facility in the county.
The center provides a comprehensive array of outpatient services to all residents of the area. Additionally, the center owns and operates two group living facilities and monitored independent living apartments with services and supports tailored to the needs of persons with serious and persistent mental illness.

Pioneer Counseling provides services on a scheduled basis and makes every effort to see you promptly at your scheduled appointment time.

Born in Ohio, she graduated from Kent State University with a Bachelors Degree in Psychology.
Dory moved to Wyoming in 1980 to pursue her Ph.
D. in Psychology from the University of Wyoming.
Finding herself short of funds, she took her Master's Degree and put it to good use at the Wyoming State Hospital in Evanston, where she remained for 10 years providing psychological services.
