I am a Licensed Professional Counselor with an approach to counseling based in support, empathy, and genuineness, with an emphasis on helping people to feel comfortable, safe and valued. I seek to build a therapeutic relationship rooted in trust. I believe in a holistic approach to therapy, and incorporate multiple methods and tools into my work with clients including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy.

I tailor therapy to the specific needs of each client. I have nearly ten years of clinical experience providing help to children, adolescents, and adults with a variety of difficulties including but not limited to anxiety, depression, trauma, grief/loss, eating disorders, identity issues, substance abuse/addiction, and behavioral concerns. In addition, I have experience in working with couples and families.

I enjoy helping couples to understand one another better by providing a safe environment for each to share feelings, to be heard, and to feel validated. I am passionate about helping individuals understand themselves and their true identity by empowering them to change negative and irrational thought patterns, and deal with past pain in order to experience greater well-being.
Services
We come from a holistic approach to therapy.
We firmly believe that we are designed as one body with many working parts that are all intertwined working together systematically to achieve overall health and well being.
How we care for ourselves matters.
Our physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual health are not separate entities working independently of one another.
If we are having difficulty in one area, it will impact us as a whole.
In addition to looking at the whole person, I primarily adhere to Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, which is a fancy way to explain that how we think, impacts our behaviors, and those behaviors impact our outcomes.
I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who provides the highest quality client centered psychotherapy and counselling services.
I thoroughly enjoy working alongside all individuals, couples and families, regardless of age, race, ethnicity, religion, sexual orientation and ability.
Every individual I have the opportunity to meet carries with them a collection of unique experiences, thoughts, beliefs, values and goals.
As humans, we all have periods in our lives when we think, "things are not how they should be" and this may lead us to a place where we may not be feeling like ourselves.
My treatment approach is person-centered, present-focused and collaborative.
I truly believe in meeting people where they are at, and empower them to be their "authentic self".
I coach individuals on healthy coping skills and provide "real life" feedback to help you gain control over your emotions and tackle life challenges.
I believe that validation and acceptance are our tickets to emotional freedom.
I combine elements of mindfulness, radical acceptance, and effective communication skills, with helping you learn how to challenge your negative thoughts and self-perceptions to improve your self esteem.
I am a licensed clinical social worker who has more than 10 years of clinical experience working with adolescents and adults in community mental health.
I graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Master of Science degree in Social Work with a certificate in mental health.
My approach is trauma-informed and person-centered.
Using evidenced-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), I treat a variety of issues including depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues, trauma, codependency, compassion fatigue, life transitions, and stress management.
I create client-centered therapy sessions and practice with empathy and genuine support as my clients make the choices that are best for their lives.
I approach each client in a nonjudgmental manner and an open mind to what they need.
I obtained my Bachelor's degree in Psychology from Fayetteville State University in North Carolina, Master's in Counseling and Master's in Pastoral Counseling from Liberty University in Virginia, and Ph.
D. in Psychology from Northcentral University in Arizona.
My experience includes 20 years as a School Counselor, working with families, adults, and teaching psychology at the college level.
