I would like to introduce myself to you. I am a licensed clinical social worker in private practice, counseling individuals, children, couples and families in distress, with over 30 years of in depth individual, family and group clinical experience including Child Welfare and Domestic Violence. I will work with you to assist you in developing your best coping strategies in this complicated and sometimes frightening and lonely world.
As you know, couples become unhappy for a variety of reasons namely poor communication, unrealistic expectations, and a lack of intimacy or loving feelings. Other difficulties reported by distressed couples include specific topics such as money management, jealousy, conflicts over values and problems with in-laws. By the time couples consider therapy, many have also considered the option of divorce.
My focus if possible is to intervene to resolve or improve these key issues hopefully to avoid injury to families that might result in dissolution or prolonged litigation.
