My role is to help you continually move toward your life goals. You'll find my style direct and honest. I am a discerning listener who will make you aware of limiting thoughts and unproductive patterns that stop you from being able to communicate and live life to the fullest. This approach is based on weaving together a combination of evidence-based techniques that include Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, mindfulness, and self-compassion.
Prior to founding Growth Solutions Counseling in 2008, I worked in the public mental health system for 7 years. I served children and families in residential treatment, as an in-home family therapist, and as an outpatient therapist. In addition to my therapy practice, I provide training for legal, mental health, nonprofit and community organizations, as well as professional development for graduate school programs.
