Rural Nevada Counseling (RNC) is committed to the wellness of our consumers, their families, and the surrounding community through prevention, intervention, treatment, and education. RNC understands that recovery is not linear but happens on a continuum, that lapses in substance misuse and mental health occur, and we are committed to walking with our clients on their recovery journey.

RNC believes that for our clients to succeed, they must be engaged and treated holistically. That in many instances, mental health and substance misuse impacts the quality of life in many ways. Adverse effects of substance misuse and mental health challenges led RNC to create our behavioral health center (CCBHC), a comprehensive approach to consumer care.

These additional rehabilitative mental health services help better support our clients no matter what their presenting challenges may be. To engage on a recovery journey with our consumers, their families, and the community and to ensure advocacy, compassion, acceptance, respect, empowerment, and sincerity with each step we take together.

Mental health crisis response services are a vital part of any mental health service system.
A well-designed crisis response system can provide backup to community providers, perform outreach by connecting first-time users to appropriate services and improve community relations by providing reassurance that the person's needs are met in a mental health crisis.
1. 24-Hour Crisis line which is that first point of contact for a person in crisis or their loved one.
Telephone crisis services provide assessment, screening, triage, preliminary counseling, and information along with setting up a referral to our CCBHC.
Medication-assisted treatment (MAT) is the use of medications, in combination with counseling and behavioral therapies, to provide a "whole-patient" approach to the treatment of substance use disorders.
Medications used in MAT are approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and MAT programs are clinically driven and tailored to meet each patient's needs.
Research shows that a combination of medication and therapy can successfully treat these disorders, and for some people struggling with addiction, MAT can help sustain recovery.
Transitional living that caters to people recovering from addiction are often referred to as sober living.
Transitional living facilities are now standard for people coming out of thirty-day residential, inpatient treatment settings, homelessness, or incarceration who need ongoing intensive therapy while being able to work or begin or reintegrate back into school and living a life in recovery.
Rural Nevada Counseling understands the challenges that our clients and future clients must face.
Becoming abstinent and engaging in their recovery process is one of the most difficult decisions they will ever have to make.
Rural Nevada Counseling understands that there can be negative consequences that arise from active addiction.
Some of these consequences can involve mandated treatment through the criminal justice system.
Rural Nevada Counseling has various programs which help our clients meet and maintain the various compliance requirements of Nevada's specialty courts while offering highly specialized approaches specific to your needs.
If you are seeking help for your substance misuse related issues and are involved with the Nevada Specialty Courts (Drug, DUI, MAT, or Mental Health), Department of Alternative Sentencing, Division of Parole or Probation, Juvenile or Adult Justice Courts, or District Courts, please feel free to contact us so that we can get you involved in treatment and allow us to assist you in moving one step closer towards your new way of life.
