Our services are confidential, therapeutic and professional. Day or evening appointment times are available. All sessions are provided by Licensed Professional Counselors or Licensed Clinical Social Workers. We are located on the corner of Holcomb and Government in Ocean Springs. We accept most insurance plans, cash, or personal checks as payment.
Services
Marcia Barksdale has a License for Professional Counseling in Mississippi and a National Board of Counselor Certification.
She is from New Orleans where she taught junior high learning-disabled students for six years before getting her Master's degree in Biblical Counseling.
During her five-year private practice in Ohio, she directed eating disorder support groups and appeared on a local radio program.
Her lecture, "When Is Thin Enough?" was presented to psychology professors at area universities and to interested participants on several occasions.

David holds a master's degree in Marriage & Family Therapy and Counseling from Reformed Theological Seminary and is a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of Mississippi.
A native of New York State, David came to Mississippi to obtain his degree in counseling and is currently practicing on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
David's experience includes pre-marital and marriage counseling as well as counseling for families and individuals.
Besides practicing with Islands Counseling, David also serves as a counselor and teacher at The Home of Grace in Vancleave, MS where he works with men overcoming substance abuse.
A native of New York State, David came to Mississippi to obtain his degree in counseling and is currently practicing on the Mississippi Gulf Coast.
