Eligible clients have no insurance or are underinsured. UNDERinsured means having some sort of health insurance coverage, which is deemed inadequate due to lack of comprehensive coverage (e.g., no mental health coverage), lack of providers who accept the patient's insurance, or the insurance plan has high out-of-pocket costs. The standard cost for each session at Fredericksburg Counseling Services is $20.
This flat fee is to ensure fair an affordable access to mental health care regardless of insurance status or coverage. Services
The Clinical Staff Director is an exempt, 20-hour week, employee serving at the discretion of the Board of Directors and is responsible to the Board for the leadership and administrative control of the agency's graduate student interns, license-eligible volunteers, and licensed pro-bono providers.
Some evening hours will be required.
The candidate may not be currently a member of other board of directors or acting as a counselor at the clinic.
Additionally, no member of the candidate's family can be a director or acting as a counselor as this would be a conflict and a breach of the clinic's bylaws.

Participate in the professional preparation of the next generation of direct service providers.
Licensed and in good standing as a Licensed Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) in the State of Virginia.
Meets supervisor requirements as stated by the Virginia Board of Health Professions to provide supervision for graduate student or license track graduate.
Able to share an area of expertise in specialized area of mental health/social work to report on.
Licensed and in good standing as a Licensed Social Worker (LICSW), Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) or Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy (LMFT) in the State of Virginia.

INFO is a free resource to the community published monthly by Fredericksburg Counseling Services (FCS).
Included in each issue are many of the groups and community trainings available to residents in need.
Agencies are encouraged to list in INFO (no charge).
A new feature is Agency Spotlight, where an agency can "tell us what we don't already know" about them.
This publication is emailed to more than 300 people in the community who work with the residents in schools, agencies, churches, private practice, etc.
Included in each issue are many of the groups and community trainings available to residents in need.
