With the advance of science and research during the last 30-40 years, we've learned a lot about love, marriage and fulfilling relationships. We now know that having a successful and happy relationship is a SKILL we can learn if we are willing to "do the work."

Marriage or couples counseling can teach you how to improve your relationship and "love" skills. I truly believe that we all have the potential to create a great relationship and to find lasting love - if we are prepared to honestly look at what blocks us and work with it. When we accept our own contribution to the problems in a relationship and are ready to make an effort to learn new ways of relating and being together, our relationship can thrive.

In addition to couples, I also see individuals for a range of issues, including depression, anxiety, existential crisis, substance abuse, codependency and others. If you live anywhere in Texas (or abroad) but far away from my office, I offer online counseling via video-conferencing software.
Services
As long as I can remember I have been interested in psychology and nature of human beings.
I was looking for answers to questions about what makes people "work" and how we can change and improve our lives.
Partially, my quest was inspired by the realization that I was absolutely miserable, depressed and lonely when I was in my twenties.
That realization kick-started my journey toward figuring out how to make my life better.
During that process, I've investigated many different approaches and schools of thought, participated in dozens of workshops, seminars, trainings; I've experienced numerous teachers and teachings; I've read hundreds of books.
Conflicts, problems communicating and understanding each other, infidelity, lack of intimacy or connection, divorce contemplation.
For depression, anxiety, life transitions and passages, anger and stress management, low self-esteem, problems with self-identity, spiritual and existential matters, problems with self-determination and life goals.
Problems with children, communication difficulties between family members, conflicts, mental health and substance abuse of a family member, codependency problems and adult children of alcoholics.
Therapists and their individual therapeutic approaches are not "one-size-fits-all."
There are many different approaches to therapy and the method and style of a therapist will be strongly influenced by his or her personality and life experiences.
For this reason it's very important to find a therapist that's a good match for you - someone you feel you can trust and are comfortable working with.
I believe that successful therapy results from a committed collaboration between the client and the therapist.
Few things are as devastating and damaging to relationships and intimacy as these three.
Addictions not only destroy the ones being imprisoned by it, but they hurt and damage everyone in close proximity to the addict, especially spouses and children.
That's why we say that addiction is a "family disease."
It's not uncommon when the children of alcoholics or drug addicts turn to substances themselves.
So, what is addiction, you might ask?
How do I know whether it's an addiction and not just a "bad habit?"
You spend a lot of time thinking and being concerned about your partner's or other relative's actions or behavior.
You're desperately trying to change them, control them, save them, or fix them.
You feel that if you just can manage them enough, they'll stop the behavior that destroys them and/or the relationship.
Meanwhile, your own life is spinning out of control.
You feel like you're the one who gives too much in the relationship.
You live in constant pain and anguish and are losing hope that things will ever change.
