Welcome to Affiliated Psychological and Medical Consultants, serving the mental health needs of Northeast Georgia since 1990. We offer a broad range of treatment for all psychological, neuropsychological, addiction and substance abuse issues, as well as marital and family problems. In addition, some of our practitioners also focus on behavioral issues, educational difficulties and learning disabilities, utilizing both cognitive behavioral techniques and EEG Neurofeedback treatment.
We also offer psychological testing for children, adolescents, and adults, as well as Bariatric Surgery screenings. While a person can feel better after a good talk with a friend or relative, for moderate or severe emotional distress, professional therapy may be needed. Talking with a trained listener can help alleviate emotional distress for good.

Collectively, we have over 100 years of counseling experience working with patients from children and adolescents (starting at age 5 and up) to adults in individual psychotherapy, couples therapy, family and group counseling.
One of our psychologists is trained in the practice and use of EEG Neurofeedback for the treatment of many of the conditions listed above.
With three psychologists in our practice, we have the capacity and expertise to treat patients in Hall and surrounding counties such as White, Habersham, Lumpkin, Dawson, Forsythe, Barrow, Jackson and Banks, just to name a few.

She moved to Gainesville from Alpharetta, GA to be closer to her extended family.
Lu enjoys working for Affiliated Psychological because it allows her to use her marketing expertise and her people skills to serve her community.
Lu is also our website administrator and content writer.

If you are coming from Jesse Jewell Parkway, turn (right or left) onto W. Academy at the traffic light between the old train engine and the iHOP restaurant.
Go through one traffic light (Washington Street), just past the Homestar building and take a right into our parking lot, before you go around the big 90 degree curve.
There is a Waldrip Real Estate sign at street level as you turn into the parking lot.
