Welcome to Counseling Services for Children and Families, PLLC, a clinical practice providing outpatient behavioral health assessments and counseling services for children, adults, couples and families. Each of our guests receives warmth, kindness, hope, non-judgement, support and services in private and comfortable space. Services
Kristen Ora, LMSW, CAADC, is a fully licensed Clinical Social Worker and Certified Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor with extensive professional experience assessing and treating adults, children and families.
Kristen has a warm, kind, hopeful, non-judgmental and supportive style.
Kristen is committed to helping you feel safe, respected and connected so a self-paced healing journey may begin.
Kristen will help you identify and use your own strengths, natural talents, personal interests and support system to develop and use wellness and coping skills.
With Your Consent: Your therapist will complete a clinical assessment.
The information you share will help the therapist understand your personal strengths, needs and expectations for treatment.
The therapist may make treatment recommendations.
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy: Increase awareness of your emotions, thoughts, beliefs, interpersonal experiences and behaviors about these problems.
Identify distorted and/or negative thinking.
Reshape negative or inaccurate thinking.
Dialectical Behavioral Therapy: Learning to manage painful and overwhelming emotions by learning mindfulness skills, interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation and distress tolerance skills.
In advance of your first appointment, you will receive a Welcoming Packet containing written information about the services, program rules, privacy practices, client rights and responsibilities, policies, fees, billing and intake paperwork.
If you have healthcare insurance, it is recommended that you contact your health insurance company in advance of starting services to determine if services will be covered.
Please bring your completed intake paperwork to your first appointment.
