K'STAR is a safe short-term youth program for today providing long-term solutions for tomorrow. We are committed to serving the child, the family, and the community. We provide free services to youth and parents who are experiencing difficult living situations or problems with truancy and are a school dropout risk. Through counseling, compassion, and parenting skills training, we enable families to grow closer and learn to effectively solve problems in an appropriate fashion.
Our counseling professionals have more than 75 years of combined experience and work to improve domestic situations throughout the area. As a nonprofit organization, K'STAR, Inc. receives funding from the Texas Department of Family and Protective Services via the state runaway program and Child Protective Services, private grants, foundations, federal funds, budgets and fundraisers through Kerrville, Texas.

Through the practice of Trauma-Informed Care, we start the process of healing the abuse, neglect, and trauma suffered in their early years.
Our home can house up to twenty youngsters ages birth to seventeen.
