Trained first as a high school teacher and then as a professional counselor, Cathy has been helping people learn and grow for over 40 years.
Since 1998, she has counseled people of all ages, working in such diverse settings as the Gaithersburg-Upcounty Senior Center, the Montgomery County Infants and Toddlers Program, and an outpatient substance abuse program for people who were court ordered to attend treatment.
Clients tell me they appreciate that I am non-judgmental about their lives and the things they talk about.
As you share, you can identify what you want to change as well as determine what you can learn to accept.
Acceptance and change are both amazingly healing!
Most sessions are spent engaging in direct, practical, healing conversations.
In addition, I have many years of experience with practices that support personal growth including: meditation, QiGong and Yoga, journaling, guided imagery, body awareness, and energy medicine (Donna Eden, Brain Gym, EFT, and Reiki).
