Prior to becoming a professional counselor and psychotherapist, I was a software engineer for over two decades, working at companies such as Ciena, Palm, and Microsoft.

When we're young, it's easy to think we have all the answers.
But, as we get older, we often find that our relationships with friends, colleagues, family members, partners, and our selves no longer work the way they once did.
They may still be there, but they no longer provide us the joy or fulfillment we once took for granted.
Even when we try to do things differently, quite often the same unhelpful thoughts, feelings, and problems kick back in and play themselves out over and over again.
We all experience stress and anxiety from time to time.
It's part of what makes us human.
Stress and anxiety heighten our senses.
We become more alert.
But, if you've been experiencing anxiety and stress on an ongoing or recurring basis for any length of time, then it's time to seek professional help.
