Insight Wellness & Counseling is a counseling center in Sarasota, Florida that provides traditional talk therapy along with other wellness approaches. We are focused on helping our clients achieve optimal living. This includes helping clients function at their highest level in areas of relationships, health, career, and mental well-being. We firmly believe in the inseparable connection between the mind, body and spirit.

We recognize that our physical health is influenced by our thoughts and feelings, and that our psychological health is affected by our bodily condition and our behaviors. We embrace a practice that treats the whole person. Along with Mental Health Counseling we offer Health & Wellness Counseling, as well as, referrals for Nutrition, Psychiatry, Acupuncture, and other wellness services.

We also offer the option of a physical activity therapy session; it is a perfect blend of talk therapy and a physical activity such as walking, yoga, or weight training. Services
Kristen Johnson is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
Some of the therapies she employs in her counseling practice are: Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems Therapy, Positive Psychology, Rogerian Therapy, Rational Emotive Behavioral Therapy, Solution-focused Brief Therapy, and Rapid Resolution Therapy.
Kristen also offers faith-based counseling, where clients' beliefs, attitudes, and values are explored and incorporated into their psychological functioning.
She works with women who are struggling with infertility, prenatal mood disorders, postpartum depression, and loss.
Hailey is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor.
She uses an integrative approach to working with clients, incorporating both eastern philosophies and complementary western psychology.
Some of the therapies she employs in the foundation of her counseling practice are: Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, and Mindfulness-based Therapies, among others.
Hailey also uses a Neuromodulation device called BAUD to treat a wide variety of issues.
Hailey firmly believes that physical health and mental health are intertwined so she has combined her background as a certified fitness and yoga instructor with her counseling education to create a holistic practice including Health & Wellness Counseling.
Katherine Walsh is a Licensed Mental Health Counselor and Certified Hatha Yoga Teacher.
She holds a Masters in Expressive Art Therapies and Mental Health Counseling.
She has been practicing counseling since 2002 and has worked with diverse populations in various settings including residential treatment, partial hospitalization, schools, treatment courts and private practice.
Currently, Katherine provides counseling services utilizing a combination of modalities including Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Expressive Art Therapy and Yoga to help clients meet their personal goals.

Through metaphor, paradox, and experiential exercises clients learn how to make healthy contact with thoughts, feelings, memories, and physical sensations that have been feared and avoided.
Clients gain the skills to recontextualize and accept these private events, develop greater clarity about personal values, and commit to needed behavior change.
Health and Wellness Counseling helps client make positive and lasting behavior changes to their health.
