I am a licensed independent clinical social worker (LC3000731) with a private practice in Washington, DC. I have been providing psychotherapy in the DC Metro region for the past eight years, having worked in various therapeutic environments for over 15 years. My private practice focuses on work with individuals and couples who are dealing with varying degrees of mental health issues and life challenges.
I strive to create a safe and trusting environment that supports the development of a therapeutic relationship. This vital foundation enhances the therapeutic process and allows for the growth and change that patients seek. With this shared commitment to the process, patients can achieve their goals and experience a greater sense of empowerment in their lives and relationships.
After graduating from the University of Maryland at College Park in 1992 with a degree in Psychology, I obtained my Masters in Social Work degree from Howard University in 1999. I began my career as a professionally trained hotline counselor for crisis intervention and suicide prevention in Prince Georges County Maryland.
