I use an individualized and integrative approach in our counseling services with a commitment to being trauma-informed and by using tools and techniques focused on your optimal well being. Areas of specialty include moving towards restoration from developmental traumas, resolving relationship, career and work difficulties, and achieving balance through life transitions.

We offer clients two research-based Biofeedback modalities that many have found effective with a wide range of challenges -- Neurofeedback with the LENS (Low Energy Neurofeedback System) developed at Ochs Labs, Inc., and the HeartMath, developed at the Heart Math Institute. Our staff is experienced and effective in supporting individuals and their families in successful negotiations through the labyrinth of social service processes and procedures.

We specialize in supporting veterans, families in crisis, and people who are experiencing oppression and marginalization.
Services
Sometimes we lose connection with ourselves, our families, our communities, and our life purpose - often it is anxiety and depression and the root cause of these feelings and emotions that prevent us from thriving.
Effective counseling can help you to re-connect.
Trauma affects one in three people and the impacts can be devastating resulting in both mental health and physical challenges.
Many traumas are passed from generation to generation.
The right kind of counseling can help you find meaning, peace and wholeness in spite of these traumas.
We use interventions and tools from the HeartMath Institute.
These tools and interventions were developed from 28 years of research and case study results achieved from monitoring and evaluating the physiology of both negative and positive emotions, and the physiology of learning, resilience and performance.
In a typical HeartMath biofeedback session, a sensor is placed on your ear or finger and through your pulse data is collected.
This data is used to calculate heart rate variability (HRV) and statistical parameters associated with HRV.
A LENS session is typically shorter and the number of sessions required to experience significant shifts are considerably less.
Clients are not required to engage in any form of training or other mental or physical activity during the LENS session as they are typically required to do in traditional forms of neurofeedback.
Clients do not need to concentrate or focus during sessions; the LENS does the work in delivering feedback to the client.
This is very helpful for clients who are seeking neurofeedback due to an inability or impaired ability to concentrate or focus.
There are times in our lives when we need someone by our side to support us, to be our voice, or to be a "boots on the ground" person to support and advocate for you or your loved one.
Sometimes understanding what actions need to be taken and in what order is challenging.
We are here to identify and walk you through your current action plan, or to find other available options that may be more effective or preferable.
Our services include direct interface with personnel, writing letters, accompanying you or a family member(s) to a medical or other type of appointment, making visits to the nursing home, hospital, or group home -- all in order to make sure that services are being delivered as contracted, and that things are going as well as possible.
