Life is about the journey. Not the destination. It is about growing, learning, being, feeling, loving, and living. Trauma, abuse, grief, physical illness, interpersonal issues, depression, anxiety, and other difficulties can make engaging in the day to day of this journey a daunting challenge. The mission of Journey Counseling is to walk alongside clients as they journey towards healing, offering them unconditional positive regard, help, and hope.
The journey that led to me to becoming a counselor was a winding road. I received a degree in Business from Palm Beach Atlantic University years ago, but over time I discovered that wasn't my passion. Before becoming a Professional Counselor, I spent time working in a volunteer capacity, domestically and internationally, with those impacted by adverse life events ranging from financial difficulties to coping with terminal illnesses.
I then received my Masters in Professional Counseling from Liberty University, and I am currently a Licensed Professional Counselor in the state of South Carolina.
