Amity Counseling Services is primarily a group therapy provider for alcohol and substance abuse concerns. ACS is licensed by the Department of Children and Families and contracted with the Florida Safety Council as a treatment provider for DUI client referrals. We also serve clients who are referred for evaluation by Probation or Pre-Trial Diversion programs.
Additionally, we accept clients seeking help for drug or alcohol related issues who are not necessarily referred by another agency. ACS utilizes the TSM approach (Transformative Self Management) designed by Dr. Rabac. In TSM, the goal is to guide clients, through exercises and discussion groups, in practicing skills to develop self-awareness and eventually self-actualization.
After we receive written confirmation from the Safety Council (in about a week) we will then contact you to schedule your evaluation. Non Safety Council referrals may be scheduled for evaluation without any delay. A collaborative approach to challenging work sheets, presentations, and discussion, completed in small groups.
