I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker and obtained my Master's degree in Social Work from Loyola University Chicago. Prior, I attended Millikin University and earned my Bachelor's degree in both Psychology and Human Services. I will help you navigate through anxiety, school refusal, depression, suicidal thoughts, difficulties managing stress, relationship/peer issues, family conflict, life transitions, and much more.
I utilize Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and Solution Focused Therapy. My approach emphasizes the importance of family therapy when working with adolescents. Let's face it. Change can be scary and it can take a lot of courage to make that change. You may be someone who has been waiting for "things to get better" or have said "I'll make an appointment soon" and you're finding that you keep falling into the same cycle.
It's difficult to choose a new path, with new behaviors, and having the willingness to sit with the discomfort of intense feelings.
