Psychotherapy is a complex but profoundly rewarding process of examining one's life, history, desires, relationships, hopes, and fears in order to open up new possibilities and make new meaning out of one's experience. While our desires change through life, our past experiences may keep us stuck in unhelpful patterns that prevent us from reaching our full potential and living a meaningful, satisfying life.

You may find yourself experiencing emotional distress, anxiety, pain, or struggling with a life issue that you have been unable to resolve. You may long for a deeper connection with yourself or yearn for more satisfying relationships with others. Psychotherapy can provide you the opportunity to learn new ways of responding to problems so that you can create a more satisfying, meaningful and authentic existence.

I welcome the opportunity to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds in my practice. I am the founder and director of the Aguirre Center for Inclusive Psychotherapy, a distinguished group practice focused on providing culturally-responsive care to all, particularly those who hold marginalized identities, including racial/ethnic, gender, and sexual minorities.
Services
I've provided information below about myself, my professional experiences and my approach to therapy to give you a sense of what it might be like to work together and with the hope of demystifying the therapy process.
I encourage you to read the information below so that you can determine if I might be the right therapist for your needs.
Of course, the best way to get sense if we might be a fit is by requesting an Initial Appointment.
I am an Licensed Psychologist and a Certified Group Psychotherapist and a Fellow of American the Group Psychotherapy Association.
If I determine my services may be a good fit for your needs, we then proceed with scheduling an appointment for Initial Assessment; this meeting is a time for me to become acquainted with your current struggles and what you wish to address in therapy.
It is also an opportunity for you to get a sense of who I am and how I work.
At the end of the initial assessment, I will share with you my initial clinical impressions and treatment recommendations which may include individual therapy, relationship therapy, and/or group therapy.
I am firm believer that group psychotherapy is one of the most powerful tools for growth and change having witnessed amazing results firsthand.
Group therapy provides a unique opportunity to understand the relationships we have with ourselves and others.
My therapy groups focus on helping group members relate to one another more authentically and to deepen your experience of vulnerability, intimacy, and closeness with others.
The power of a group lies in that a group allows for the creation of a person's social microcosm, where the patterns of how you relate to people outside of group are recreated inside the group.
If you prefer to connect with via phone, I offer a free 15-minute Initial Phone Consultation during which I can get an overview of your concerns to determine fit and allow you an opportunity to ask me questions as well.
You will hear back from me promptly to schedule an Initial Assessment appointment, or will be provided referrals if we are not able to meet your needs.
If you prefer to connect via phone, instead of through the Appointment Request Form, I offer a free 10 minute Phone Consultation during which I will ask you a few questions and get an overview of your concerns and you will have the opportunity to ask me questions as well.
If you are ready to proceed with the process of becoming a client, please go to our Getting Started page.
Thank you for your message.
I am looking forward to hearing from you!
