Currently, my office is only open for TeleHealth counseling appointments. The American Psychological Association and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention are recommending that all mental health practitioners provide TeleHealth rather than in-person visits whenever possible and are recommending both providers and clients wear masks for any in-office visits regardless of vaccination status.
As a result, I have chosen to offer only TeleHealth visits for counseling at this time using a secure, encrypted, and HIPAA compliant web-based audio/video chat. If you would like to discuss TeleHealth options, please contact me by phone. In most instances, health insurance plans cover TeleHealth counseling with your usual copayment still applying.
It is important that we are all careful to limit our own exposure and to prevent exposing others during this time. Dr. Lucas also provides psychological assessment and evaluation for some medical procedures and treatment planning.
