Mind Balance Psychology Center
The first step-and perhaps the most difficult-is deciding you may need to reach out for help. Once you are ready, you should look for someone you can trust. Someone who will not only listen to what you're saying but who also hears what you aren't saying. And most important, you should look for someone with whom you can feel comfortable, a person who cares.

Hi, I am Dr. Tanja Ketisch, Clinical Psychologist. I strive to make you feel safe and comfortable. I strongly believe that to be effective in what I do, there has to be a connection and relationship with my clients. Sometimes life can become confusing and overwhelming, and we may need a little help to get back on track. I hope we can take this journey together!

Telemental Health or Distance Counseling is a type of therapy that uses technology to provide mental health services from a distance. In my practice, I use an online platform that affords confidential and HIPAA compliant access to video conferencing, secure messaging, and chat.

The key is making you feel safe and comfortable throughout the entire process.
Innate empathy, genuine concern, and compassion are personal characteristics that I bring to my role as a clinical psychologist.
These qualities have been the foundation on which my clinical strengths have emerged and continue to flourish.
Although I believe that a comfortable, non-judgmental environment that conveys congruence, empathy, and unconditional positive regard are the bedrock of therapy, at times, more directive approaches may be necessary.
Nevertheless, it is the client's responsibility for to pursue change.

Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) is a short-term (10 to 20 sessions) and structured approach to couples' therapy developed by Drs.
Sue Johnson and Les Greenberg in the 1980's.
It is grounded in over twenty years of research.
It is based on the science of adult attachment styles and helps partners recognize and understand the negative cycles each of us gets stuck in.
I utilize an integrative approach to treatment because not one a single therapeutic approach works for each client in all situations.
By pulling techniques from different therapy modalities, I am able to provide individuals with personalized strategies that enhance insight and alleviate feelings of distress.
