Without pretense of neutrality or distance for which therapists are typically trained, we'll engage in vibrant conversation and contemplative sharing. Glimmers of epiphany and possibility will pop from the empty feeling in your chest, the butterflies in your belly, the painful tightness in your throat. With your heavy heart and yearnings as our road-map, I bring all of my genuine self to our work.

Together we create moments of clarity and calm; you remember what is special about you, and your dreams, loves, hopes re-ignite. You'll no longer feel alone even after you leave our session. Your day-to-day mindset will come into sharper focus as you feel stronger and closer in your relationships, more seamless in your self-care. I also offer to teach healing body-movements & mindfulness linked with your emotions.

Services
I specialize with people who yearn to re-connect with themselves and realize their passions: in love, during life transitions, in relationships, and in artistic, spiritual or career path(s).
Helping people uncover their tenderness and core strength is the healing hallmark of my work.
I received my MSW from Smith College, and have felt a passion to practice and teach experiential methods of psychotherapy and counseling ever since.
I was awarded Supervisor Certification from the AEDP Institute in NYC, the rubric within which lies all of my ways of connecting with people: moment-by-moment, and in a gently deepening way.
What happens when the very people who were supposed to provide safety and protection were gone, unreliable, or actively harmful?
This creates an attachment-based trauma.
You felt abandoned and alone, and needed to freeze-out the enormity of the loss, terror, anger and other emotions.
The feelings were too big for your young self to process, and perhaps expressing them would have gotten you into more trouble.
I was ready to honestly look at/into myself because I knew that something(s) was blocking my full potential.
AEDP is a premier Mindfulness Psychotherapy.
The acronym spelled out is Accelerated Experiential Dynamic Psychotherapy; the model was developed about 20 years ago by Diana Fosha, PhD to heal the pain and injury of childhood or later trauma.
AEDP heals elusive emotional pain such as feelings of chronic shame or aloneness, gleaned from the seeds of your less than optimal childhood.
Working with AEDP leads you to profound realizations and actionable epiphanies.
Our work together softens defenses in an accelerated way, allowing your previously blocked or hidden emotions to surface under our shared care and safety.
As an AEDP Certified Supervisor and Therapist, I offer teaching opportunities and clinical supervision to all modalities of psychotherapists and coaches.
I also consult to programs in universities, clinics and hospitals, and produce and teach workshops and retreats around the US and internationally.
In AEDP supervision, we will experience moment-to-moment tracking of your therapy work, and create healing based on how your interventions land for the patient or client.
Our supervision will reflect your unique combination of talent, skills, and your right and left-brain workings.
It's a small group learning and teaching opportunity for us to share together, in a group which will quickly feel safe and engaging, to bridge our right and left brain knowledge as we learn and practice new moment-to-moment AEDP tracking skills and healing interventions: Sign-up here.
4) Hone your own AEDP style in these interventions as you understand what interventions work in each moment, and what to do when you receive a red-signal affect (happens to all of us often!).
What does a green-signal affect look and feel like?
