The need for change is often brought to our attention through painful or uncomfortable feelings, a sense of being disconnected, or a general feeling that something is missing from our life. But change can sometimes seem as scary or painful as continuing on as we are. Making positive changes in your life can take many forms. Choosing a path that includes a supportive environment can help you envision change as more than just daunting, but also as empowering, exhilarating, and more!

The therapeutic environment provides a non-judgmental space in which to explore your feelings and thoughts and practice new behaviors. You can use this space and the relationship with your counselor to explore your options, increase your awareness of your beliefs and values, and discover for yourself what is best for you in your circumstances.
Services
I am passionate about working with people who want to make positive changes in their lives.
I will work with you to solve problems, increase self-knowledge, and promote personal growth.
My approach to counseling is client-centered and I believe my role as a counselor is to provide a safe place for you to explore your feelings and thoughts and to practice new behaviors.
My role is also to help you explore options, facilitate your awareness of your beliefs and values, and help you discover for yourself what is best for you in your circumstances.
Counseling sessions are generally 45-55 minutes long unless otherwise agreed upon in advance.
Most often sessions take place once a week, but we can meet more or less frequently depending on your needs.
My hours vary, so please contact me and let me know what days and times work best for you so we can work out a mutually agreeable time to meet.
Schedule a free 20-minute consultation.
Sometimes meeting in person can help you decide whether to begin therapy and whether I would be a good match as a counselor for you.
Sandtray-Worldplay is an expressive, dynamic therapy that allows you to approach and communicate your feelings and experiences in a non-verbal, three-dimensional way.
This technique provides you with a tangible method for expressing yourself that goes beyond words.
It involves the creation of a world in a tray of sand by moving and forming the sand and/or arranging images in the sand.
You are encouraged to arrange the sand and images in whatever way feels right.
You can talk or remain quiet as you build your world.
Please contact me if you have any questions or would like to set up an appointment for a free 20-minute consultation or a full counseling session.
