If you have found your way here, I imagine that you are in need of support and ready to make some changes in your life. You may be feeling anxious, depressed, confused or overwhelmed. As a practical, interactive, solution-focused therapist, my treatment approach is to provide support and practical feedback to help clients resolve current problems and long-standing patterns.

With sensitivity and compassion, I help clients find solutions to a wide range of life challenges and transitions. Blending conventional and alternative approaches, I draw on a variety of styles and techniques to incorporate what will be most helpful for each client. I work with each client to help them build on their strengths to identify and achieve life goals.

I'm a proud member of Counseling Santa Barbara which is a part of the Theravive Counseling organization. I also have a page devoted to the subject of marriage and finances.

We all yearn for deeper peace, happiness and more success in our lives.
The presence of things we don't want or the absence of things that we do want is not the barrier to happiness.
We forget that the greatest measure of human achievement is not our accomplishments but it is the obstacles that most people overcome in the process, and also, the person that we become as we face these obstacles.
Without this inner process of growth and deepening strength, the accomplishments are empty.
As you face the day, when obstacles or challenges appear, instead of asking yourself: why me.why now? - consider what you can learn, rather than despair over these challenges.
Depression is more than just feeling "blue" or "down in the dumps" for a few days.
It's a serious illness that involves the brain.
With depression, sad, anxious, or "empty" feelings don't go away and interfere with day-to-day life and routines.
These feelings can be mild to severe.
The good news is that most people with depression get better with treatment.
When you are pregnant or after you have a baby, you may be depressed and not know it.
Some normal changes during and after pregnancy can cause symptoms similar to those of depression.
