Lecture: The Trauma of Cancer: Recovering from the Distress of a Diagnosis, Michael Vogel, LMFT, PhDc.
When we are traumatized by a diagnosis such as cancer, we often feel lost and alone.
We feel a rush of adrenaline, our heart started pounding, and we are flooded with emotions.
Suddenly we are without a tribe lurking amongst the dark thicket of the unknown.
With every step taken in the direction of a cure, we can be continually re-haunted by the prospect of re-occurance.
