If you are at a crossroads in your personal life or in your marriage and you just can't figure out what to do, you are not alone. Your situation is not an end road. Do not lose hope. There is help. There is a solution. Christian Counseling of Knoxville is a non-denominational ministry. We open a warm, welcoming, and private environment to individuals, couples, and families who are in need of professional counseling and a personal relationship with God.

Our goal is to make disciples of God through healthy marriages that lead to a purposeful life. We aim to strengthen the Christian faith that is rooted in every marriage, in every relationship, and in every family. The course of your life may not always go as planned. Certain circumstances may have led you to a journey you have never imagined your life would be at.

At times, you find yourself asking why, what, and how your life has changed. It is in these moments that you feel abandoned, unloved, unappreciated by the people you love and most of all by the God you believe in.

John has a rich history of meeting people's needs.
Beginning his career in the banking industry in 1964, his experience as vice president of a bank quickly taught him the dynamics of interpersonal and professional relationships and the importance of listening to and meeting the needs of others.
In 1981, he and his family moved to Dallas, TX where he attended Dallas Theological Seminary.
Upon receiving his Master of Theology in 1986, he was involved in Christian counseling and further specialized training in methods and principles of counseling.
Whether you are just thinking about getting engaged or have been married for years, the beginning step is to be willing and open to taking an honest look at yourself and the relationship.
Since every couple is unique, you will meet with me to determine and personalize the best program for you.
A problem well defined is a problem half solved.
Depending on your particular needs and objectives, you will complete a few assessments and inventories (some available online) that will help you to more rapidly determine what is needed to make you and your marriage more healthy.
Ok, this is a lot of reading, but we are talking about YOUR marriage, you know - the rest of your life!
I really want to get you to do this training with someone.
In our society, getting a driver's license requires some fitness test (vision), demonstration of skill (driving test) and knowledge test.
That does not mean the person will be a good driver, but at least they have shown they have the basics.
To get married, you just buy the license; find an official to ask you one question: "Do you take ___ to be your spouse?"
