I am a psychotherapist specializing in relationship counseling. I bring an understanding of the physiological and emotional connections of relationships into my practice with individuals, couples and families. I understand how relationships work well and what happens within and between partners and families when connections are broken. My style of practice is based on attachment research, and builds on the natural strengths of each individual.

Using a supportive, educational and skill building approach I help my clients understand their dynamic, see their issues more clearly and develop their abilities and skill to use the power they have in their relationships to feel better and deepen connections.
Services
Attachment theory is well established, originating in England in the late 1940s, with the work of John Bowlby.
In recent decades, attachment has been greatly explored and led to innovative and intuitive treatments, such as Sue Johnson's Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT).
We strive to put our best selves forward and to give ourselves to others, and in a secure connection, our natural human characteristics shine through.
We are all creative, kind, curious, patient, caring, courageous, compassionate, generous, and vibrant - I believe this is our natural state.
Imagine waking up every morning feeling like you can take on the world.
How great does that feel?
In 2008, I opened the doors to my practice to patients in the greater Folsom area - offering them a wide range of counseling and psychological services to guide them through life's challenges and most trying times.
Life can get difficult, and sometimes a little help from a professional Marriage and Family Therapist can make things better.
I care about your well-being and provide you all the tools you need in order to seize the day and learn how to tackle even the most traumatic circumstances.
Do you feel that you and your partner have trouble communicating?
Do you feel you have the same fight over and over again.
Do you remember a time in your relationship where you felt more fulfilled, heard, and appreciated?
Do you feel frustrated by having to ask for what you need or by repeatedly respond to the same complaints.
Communication problems are what bring couples to therapy more than anything else.
I find that beyond communication, people struggle to feel empowered to get what they need out of their marriages, or to be understood and appreciated.
Anxiety is part of the human experience; it can be a motivator, enhance performance and protect you from undesirable consequences.
The problem comes when anxiety inhibits you from living and loving fully.
Are you struggling with fears, feelings of panic, or a barrage of disturbing thoughts?
Is your anxiety causing you a great deal of frustration?
Do you wish you could just flip a switch and turn it off, but you can't so you feel broken or damaged or simply exhausted by the energy it takes to live with anxiety?
