Above all, I love my work as a psychologist. This profession allows me to act as both scientist and artist, and I take joy from watching people evolve in their lives. I use talk therapy to adjust and reform your relationship with yourself and others. My approach provides a supportive-yet challenging-environment where we partner together to develop behaviors and coping skills to overcome issues like depression, anxiety, or trauma.

By taking into account the uniqueness of everyone's situation on ethnicity, religion, education, finances, gender, or sexual orientation, we will work to discover and mend the root of your personal struggles. Currently, I dedicate the bulk of my time to my clients, my students, and my research projects. You may still wonder what actually happens in psychotherapy.

First, psychotherapy is a part of mental healthcare. Like all branches of healthcare, people see someone usually because there are things which are troubling them, and they'd like to get some relief and some help.
Services
You might have what people think is a "good life, " but feel something is missing.
And while you may be able to get out of bed in the morning, you might feel it's harder for you than others.
As a therapist, I provide talk therapy & counselling to understand your concerns and create a plan to reduce your distress.
As an auxiliary supervisor, I provide clinical and professional supervision for early career psychotherapists.
Online coaching is a service which helps people use the best of their skills and potential to attain a fulfilling life based on the client's own vision and goals.

Do not play these tracks while operating a motor vehicle or heavy machinery.
Always consult a physician before beginning any physical activity.
Call the customer care number on the back of your insurance card to learn if you have Out-Of-Network benefits.
My office does not accept health insurance, but your policy may reimburse you directly with your Out-of-Network benefits; my office bills clients directly.
My clients commit to weekly sessions up through 18-months.
Bi-weekly sessions are authorized after 12-months if there is progress and the client is connected to another form of support or mental health care.
Referrals to in-network insurance psychotherapists or low-fee clinics can be made if needed.
I apply Cinematherapy and Bibliotherapy in my work, meaning I will sometimes recommend a client watch or read something that compliments their therapy.
And I'll be the first to say that I am not a professional art critic.
Indeed, I'm an average consumer of the arts just like you, but I do have the privilege of viewing published works as a psychologist.
I think this film is a visceral and accurate depiction of sex addiction (or Compulsive Sexual Behaviors).
The story illustrates the lifestyle of a man battling harmful sexual compulsions and acts, and Fassbender & Mulligan portray a realistic depiction of the problematic family dynamics which can lead to sex addiction.
Therapy is most effective when there is a solid relationship between the therapist and the client, and reaching out can sometimes be the hardest step in this journey.
I've helped guide many people through pivotal times in their life, and I can also help you.
Call or email me to schedule a consultation at no cost, and we will take it from there!
