If you are feeling overwhelmed by grief it is probably because you don't fully understand its purpose thus leaving you feeling less able to cope with daily obligations, and the emotions and thoughts that accompany grief.
Self-esteem is how we view our own self-worth and if we don't think much of ourselves it makes life harder to manage and enjoy because if you devalue something you find it not worthy of attention.

Low self-esteem is shaped by what you think you see or feel in life's situations that leave you to feel undeserving to experience the good in yourself and life.

In the beginning of counseling clients often come in on a once a week basis for 4-6 weeks.
After that, the frequency is based on your needs and goals.
Absolutely not, asking for help when you need it demonstrates great strength.
We often feel we should be able to resolve our problems on our own, but at times it can be difficult to do so.
