Windflower Counseling
We are happy you have chosen to reach out and make lasting change in your life. We believe that every person has the capacity for change. You are the expert on you, and our roles as counselors is to help guide you in the right direction using our training, knowledge and expertise. It is our goal to give you tools you can use in your everyday life to make that change a reality.

It is an honor to be able to walk this journey with our clients, and our hope is that you leave each session feeling confident in your own abilities. We specialize in working with individuals who have experienced trauma in their lives. Trauma can be any experience that has been disturbing to you and has remained "stuck." Many of our clients have tried many different options to help themselves heal.

These may have included self help books, "moving on", exercise, support groups and many other options, but cannot seem to change the thought patterns and behaviors they would like to see be different. Reaching out and taking the first step in choosing a counselor is a very brave decision!

What is Grief?
Grief is a natural response to a loss in your life.
This loss could be the passing of a loved one, being laid off from a job, the ending of a relationship such as divorce, a chronic illness or the passing of a beloved pet.
Experiencing many different emotions such as sadness, anger, guilt, or loneliness are common.
Everyone experiences grief in their own individual way and none of those ways are wrong.
You may have heard of the 5 stages of grief.
These stages are denial, anger, bargaining, depression and acceptance.
Is Your Teen Experiencing any of the Following?
Therapy can help your teen find more effective and healthy ways of coping through their experiences.
They can learn new strategies for managing their time, how to communicate effectively, and understand and identify their triggers.
Therapy can give your teen a safe space where they can speak their mind and share their feelings without judgement.
Often teens need validation and understanding to get through a difficult transition.
Therapy can help improve communication and your relationship with your teen.
