It's important to realize, however, that you don't have to go through it alone, whatever "it" is. In my psychology practice, I specialize in helping people get through the tough times in their lives, with courage and grace. When the stress that comes from dealing with health issues, death and dying, caregiving and receiving, or loss and change becomes too much, counseling can be very beneficial.
In therapy sessions, the focus is on you, and only you, which can help keep you centered and strong. Research has shown that the therapy process is most effective not because of the approach itself, but because of the relationship between the therapist and the client. The connection between us creates a safe environment in which you can resolve your problems.
If you'd like to explore how we can work together, to improve your well-being, please call me to arrange an initial consultation, 303.810.5275.

Health Issues can take a toll on your mental health, which in turn, can circle back and affect your physical health.
I work closely with medical providers to improve the mind-body connection.
Chronic illnesses such as cancer, HIV / AIDS, diabetes and endocrine issues, coronary artery disease, asthma, arthritis, fibromyalgia, Parkinson's, and multiple sclerosis (MS) can take an extreme toll on the person who is ill and on the caregiver.
If you or someone you love is struggling with a chronic medical condition, therapy can help.
