In her many years of practice, she has provided therapy to individuals, couples (any two people of any ethnicity or gender, either married or committed), families and teenagers (14 years of age and up).
Rita has worked in a great variety of settings ranging from inpatient hospitals, rehab facilities for addictions, doctoral level teaching and supervision to full time private practice.
She has particular skills and certification in the use of EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization Reprocessing) for trauma reduction and post traumatic stress.
Rita provides an integrative approach that addresses both mind and body wellness.
Along with a warm and engaging style, she incorporates a comprehensive focus taking into account not only emotional/psychological issues, but also nutritional aspects.
