I help parents figure out where their kids are strong and where they need support. My specialties include psychological and neuropsychological testing for ADHD and ADD, learning disorders like dyslexia, autism spectrum or Asperger's, and many other concerns. I specialize in psychotherapy for adults who are experiencing anxiety/depression, panic attacks, performance anxiety, social/interpersonal problems, Autism Spectrum concerns, ADHD, and career/educational concerns.

I'm a licensed psychologist specializing in evaluation and psychotherapy for adults. My assessment specialties include adult ADHD, adult autism, and learning disorders. In my therapy work, I have focused primarily on anxiety disorders, stress management, and trauma focused therapy.

I specialize in working with kids and their families - from parenting support to help decrease defiant behavior, to treatment of anxiety and depression in kids, to diagnostic evaluations for learning issues, attention concerns, or ASD symptoms.
Services
At the Colorado Center for Assessment & Counseling, we strive to provide comprehensive, knowledgeable, strengths-based assessment & counseling for children, teens, adults, and families.
The Colorado Center for Assessment & Counseling was founded in 2014 by Dr. Jeremy Sharp.
After running a solo practice in Fort Collins since 2009, Dr. Sharp reconnected with Dr. Molly McLaren - a fellow graduate of Colorado State University's Counseling Psychology PhD program - to meet northern Colorado's growing need for psychological assessment and counseling.
We aim to serve as many people of this community as we can - and our clinical staff reflects that desire.
Our clinicians bring a wide variety of life experience, education, and expertise so that you can find the help you need!
Thorough yet convenient and discrete assessment for jobs, the legal system, and individuals.
We specialize in comprehensive psychological testing & evaluation for children, teenagers and adults.
A full assessment can help figure out if it's truly a clinical concern - not just immaturity, typical developmental issues, or lack of study skills, among other things.
We typically schedule testing days from 9am to 3pm with an hour long break at noon for lunch.
The testing day depends on the areas we will plan to take a look into, but generally, testing days may consist of brain games, puzzles, academic-type work like reading and writing, and perhaps some clinical type interviews.
Do you ever find yourself wondering, "Do I have adult ADHD?" or "Does my child have ADD or ADHD"?
We can help answer these questions with comprehensive ADHD & ADD testing.
While a single checklist may point us in the right direction, true assessment and diagnosis requires a more thorough approach.
Our ADHD & ADD testing looks at all areas of your life to help determine if an attention disorder (or something else entirely) is significantly impacting functioning.
At the conclusion of our evaluation, you can rest assured that you have received the most complete set of ADHD & ADD testing and treatment recommendations available.
Many children and adults struggle with reading and assume that they just aren't smart enough to "get it."
This can lead to decreased confidence, acting out, and avoidance of school work altogether.
Much like poor vision, dyslexia is something that we're born with - and something that can be treated once it has been identified.
Comprehensive testing is an excellent, thorough approach to identifying and treating dyslexia and other reading disorders.
One-hour school meeting (for children & teens) to discuss implementation of recommendations.
