Let's find out what stands in the way of peace, joy and contentment. It's my absolute passion to help people find their way out of lies they've learned to believe about themselves, about God, and about the world. What people learn to believe becomes program that's written with code and is always running in the background. That code prevents us from living the free, fulfilling lives we are meant to live.
It's time to reclaim the territory of your life and make it a fruitful and joyful place to live. A place of Radiant Health! They met in one of those campus ministry groups. They fell in love and were married shortly after graduating college. They thought it would be easy because they were both Christians, but it's been anything but easy. The day she called was only a few weeks after her child left for college.
Her youngest child, her baby. I'm not needed anymore, she sighed. I've spent the last 21 years raising kids and now they are gone and I am left with a feeling of emptiness and a sense that I don't even know who I am.

The first session is for gathering history.
I will lead you through a series of questions designed to help me really understand what you've been dealing with.
I want to know how you are feeling about your situation.
And, even though we'll just be getting started, it's important to think about what "better" will feel like.
So, I'll ask you about what "better" might look and feel like to you.
To be honest, though, you might experience overwhelming emotions as you move through the process.
This is normal!

You know how they tell you on a plane to put your own oxygen mask on first before helping someone else?
That is what individual counseling is - putting on your oxygen mask and taking a deep breath!
Perhaps you're pursuing counseling that will engage your Christian faith because you want to stir the flickering embers that threaten to go out.
You might sense that there has GOT to be MORE to life and you've decided to reach out for it.
As long as you have breath, it is never too late to reach out for the MORE that God has for you.

So many couples sit on my couch, move through the deep work of healing, and create a relationship that brings life to both.
A relationship where they both feel safe, heard, respected, and loved.
You can too.
Plenty of clients have had disagreements about money, or how to parent, or how much time can be spent on a hobby without taking away from the marriage and/or family.
Do you struggle to effectively communicate with each other in ways that build the relationship rather than hurt it?
What really matters is that you want to keep your commitment.

Are you struggling with something and you really want to talk to someone about it.
Maybe you are not great at prioritizing your own need for care because you are so busy taking care of everyone else?
Even though you really are ready for change, sometimes it is just not possible to find the time you need to travel to a therapist's office.
Maybe you live too far away from my office but you really want to meet.
Maybe you are taking care of a new baby and are more comfortable at home.
Maybe you struggle with anxiety about leaving the house.

Experiencing trauma personally or being a witness to violence always roots down in anxiety and fear.
It could be pressure to perform a certain way, as I have seen with clients who were children of pastors and were expected to be perfect.
Who is perfect?
Or growing up with parents who created an environment where anything less than an A+ was failure.
Anxiety shows up in perfectionism, being controlling, becoming easily irritated.
Maybe waking up in the middle of the night and not being able to go back to sleep because you've got too much on your mind.
