My name is Tim and I am a licensed Marriage and Family Therapist. I am the dedicated and passionate Family Therapist behind ABC Family Counseling. I started this business for a few reasons but the main reason is for children. My desire and goal is to help each child process their past, have hope for the future and thrive all throughout their life.
In my 12+ years of experience working in the mental health field I have always been incredibly driven by the children and adolescents I've worked with. I specialize in children and adolescents who have gone through trauma. In that time I've helped many children and adolescents process, and overcome that trauma. My approach with children and adolescents is by working with the entire family.

You could say it all started when I graduated with my undergraduate degree in Sociology from BYU and I received my master's degree from Argosy University.

Obviously to varying degrees, but it's way more normal than our society discusses.
In fact, according to SAMHSA (Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration) in 2014, "Utah ranked highest in the nation for mental illness."
Now that we know it's okay to have anxiety and depression, you have to assess when it becomes a problem enough to come see me.
