I am a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Marriage and Family Therapist (MFT) with special training in the attachment theory-based modality of Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy, as well as Family Systems Theories and issues around family of origin. I believe in building a relationship with clients where they feel safe and accepted, yet challenged to grow.
Through this therapeutic relationship, individuals, couples, and families can heal and develop new perspectives and practices they can use throughout their entire lives. I utilize an array of techniques, including psycho-education, genograms, role plays, journaling, and communication exercises, but I feel the most important aspect to therapy is developing a unique relationship with each client.

Services
I work with intimacy difficulties, trauma, communication problems, identity exploration, social narratives, career transitions, and general anxiety and depression.
I believe that each client possesses a unique set of strengths and challenges which must be understood by the therapist for her expertise to benefit to the client.
My goal is to help individuals and couples feel an inherent sense of security and self-actualization which makes it safe for them to share relationships with others through which they can give and receive love.

Some clients know exactly what they want to work on and come in with a very specific agenda and goals.
Other clients are aware that they want to grow and change - that they aren't as fulfilled, content, or inspired as they'd like to be - but they don't know exactly how or what needs to change.
My office is a space for either.
We all want a place where we can be heard, seen, and understood without judgment or shame, and it's my passion to be that place for people.
Addressing sexual concerns, including but not limited to infidelity, sexual addiction or sexual compulsivity, lack of arousal, or general shame around sex.
