As a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS) based in Houston, TX, I specialize in helping people work through eating disorders, body image issues, anxiety, and depression. I also provide Christian counseling upon request and offer online counseling as a convenient option for clients. Most of my clients are high-achievers who are very successful in their careers/school, but have trouble shutting their brains off and tend to be really hard on themselves.
Through therapy, I help people kick their perfectionistic ways to the curb and create more peace and balance in their lives. Though we may chat about some deep stuff together, my mission is for you to always leave each therapy session feeling way better than when you first walked in. The sooner you start therapy, the sooner you'll get relief. Getting started is often the hardest part, but as soon as you come in for the first session, you'll start to feel like a weight has been lifted off your shoulders.

Services
When I was just 17 years old, my life was completely transformed by counseling.
Therapy not only gave me the tools I needed to fully recover from an eating disorder, but it also helped me discover who I am a person, center my life on what's most important, and live with more purpose.
With all that I gained from counseling, I wanted to give other people the same gift that I was given through therapy.
So, I got my Bachelors from Texas A&M (WHOOP!), my Masters in Counseling from Dallas Theological Seminary, and became a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) and Certified Eating Disorders Specialist (CEDS).

Your time, energy, and money will always be limited resources.
At the end of the day, you have to decide to invest in what's most important to you.
You can't pour from an empty cup, so there's no better time than now to start making your well-being a priority so that you can be the very best version of yourself.

You know you don't have a healthy view of your body, but how do you know whether you're struggling with body image issues or Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD)?
Body Image Issues - Characterized by feelings of dissatisfaction with one's outward appearance (most commonly with one's body size, shape, or weight).
Body Dysmorphia - More formally known as Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD), this involves severe distress and obsession over a perceived flaw in one's appearance that is often seen as nonexistent or minor to others.
