I'm Lind Butler, a Licensed Professional Counselor and a Marriage and Family Therapist. I have spent the last thirty years helping individuals, couples and families with feelings of depression, anxiety, grief, relationship issues and family problems. Our work will be a reflective mirror to view yourself, a supportive alliance, enabling you to reflect on problem areas, gain self-understanding, enhance your self-esteem, set your own goals and help you make needed changes leading to improved relationships.
Within each of us there exists a deeper wisdom that, given adequate support, naturally moves toward healing and integration. Over my years as a therapist, I have witnessed some profoundly moving themes within the stories clients tell. Many clients come to therapy longing to be found, to be deeply seen, heard, and felt by someone who truly "gets" them.
Others seek to know the aspects of their own inner life. We want to weave the bewildering, contradictory and hidden strands of our experience into a cohesive story that makes sense.

Loss brings uncertainty, even if the loss is anticipated or planned.
People grieve over many things: death of a loved one, broken relationships, job loss, infertility, financial distress, loss of health and lost hopes.
Each story, style of mourning and the way grief is experienced are unique to that individual.
Loss signals a time of re-evaluation.
It creates a void and necessitates a reorganization of one's life.
Grief counseling can help you through this time of restructuring and transition.
Many people feel isolated and alone in their grief.
