Gambling disorder involves repeated problematic gambling behavior that causes significant problems or distress. Everyone has the ability to live life to their optimal potential.

I conceptualize individuals from a holistic perspective and tailor therapeutic interventions for the individual utilizing evidence base techniques. I strongly believe people have the ability for change, for the better. I utilize cognitive behavioral therapy, mindfulness, motivational interviewing, and client centered approach to help clients achieve their goals.

I am an experienced licensed mental health counselor (LMHC), credentialed alcoholism and substance abuse counselor with gambling specialty (CASAC), and a certified rehabilitation counselor (CRC). Reaching out for help is challenging, at times frightening; it is the first step towards a more fulfilling life.

I graduated from Hunter College, NY in 2012 with a M.S. in Rehabilitation Counseling and obtained a National Certification as Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC).
I have postgraduate studies from Capella University, MI in 2013, studying mental health counseling.
In 2016, I obtained full licensure as a License Mental Health Counselor (LMHC) in New York and obtain NYS (OASAS) Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor - Master Counselor (CASAC-MC).
As a CASAC-MC, I am approved to provide clinical screenings, assessments and treatment to Impaired Driving Offenders.
My approach is to establish an environment conducive for therapy by providing a welcoming, nonjudgmental, safe place.
The therapeutic relationship is vital; therefore, it is my goal as a counselor to be, warm, genuine, and understanding.
The client and I work together to address concerns and goals.
I practice an integrative therapeutic approach, which supports the ability to focus on the unique needs of the individual.
I utilize evidence-base treatment, which mean it is scientifically proven to be successful in reducing symptoms.
Group therapy is a form of psychotherapy, which is usually structured with one counselor/ therapist working with several clients meeting weekly for 60 minutes.
The clients share a similar goal, for example anger management.
Group therapy may be utilized alone as treatment or may be incorporated with individual therapy.
Anger Management Group for Substance Abuse and Mental Health Clients is accepting new clients.
The anger management group utilizes cognitive behavioral therapy, evidence based treatment, a structured group of 12 weeks.
I am an approved OASAS provider, who conducts clinical screening, assessment, and treatment services for impaired driving offenders and individuals with substance use disorders.
I am a Credentialed Alcoholism and Substance Abuse Counselor (CASAC-MC) and a License Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
You will need to answer a series of questions regarding alcohol or drug use: One or two standardize screening instruments are administered.
You will need to take a toxicology test, urinalysis: An appointment is scheduled for an alcohol and drug screening test performed by a laboratory.
