I work with adults and adolescents individually and with couples. I carefully tailor therapy to the needs of each individual client and in cooperation with the client. Therapy is mainly grounded in the tradition of Depth Psychology. A lack of meaning in one's life can appear as symptoms - like a warning signal - such as depression, anxiety, nightmares, substance abuse or interpersonal conflicts.
Dream work is an essential part of this therapeutic model and a gateway to understanding the unconscious, which works through us and surrounds us. Keeping a dream journal is encouraged through the process of therapy. I have extensive training and experience in Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and in Dialectic Behavioral Therapy (DBT). I can use these modalities with almost any kind of psychological suffering if they are beneficial in resolving a particular psychological issue.
Finally, I incorporate elements of Eastern Contemplative Psychology in therapy and frequently recommend meditation as a tool to understand our suffering and greater place in life.
