If you're like us, you're probably feeling helpless right about now as this chaos we try calling "new daily life" is continuing. Our usual routines; Monday-Friday kids go to school, adults go to their 9am-5pm jobs, wanting to spending a Saturday night at a resturants with loved ones, unfortunately all put on hold. During this time of the unknown we realize that everybody is probably more on edge than usual.

However, we are available to help you through this time of uncertainty and angst! Whether it be anxiety, depression, adjustment concerns, eating disorders/ordered eating behaviors etc. We are accepting new clients for Telehealth services. These services incude video chat, such as Zoom or Skype, or via phone. We return all calls within 12-24 hours or less.

Mental Health Counseling is a distinct profession with national standards for education, training and clinical practice.
Mental health counselors have practiced in New York State as mental health professionals for more than 35 years.
Graduate education and clinical training prepare mental health counselors to provide a full range of services for individuals, couples, families, adolescents, children and groups.
New York State requires that mental health counselors possess a minimum 60 credit masters degree or higher in professional counseling or its substantial equivalent.

Many people have tried these programs, lost the weight, and gained it back.
For these same individuals, weight loss is a continual life-long struggle.
There have been countless methods and programs put in place to finally take off that excess weight.
However, these programs focus mostly on the physical aspect of shedding the pounds and overlook the psychological aspects of losing weight.
Individuals who are struggling with weight are classified physically as "obese" by a physician when they have a body mass index (BMI) of 30 or greater.
Often these symptoms are persistent over time and cause impairment with interpersonal relationships, occupationally or educationally.

Services include outpatient psychotherapy to women, men & adolescents who suffer with anorexia, bulimia, compulsive overeating and body image issues.
Innovative treatment approaches are used with individuals who struggle with anxiety, depression, obsessive compulsive disorder and the effects of trauma.
The importance of each individual's recovery is emphasized, allowing a collaborative effort by the client and the treatment team to establish treatment goals.
The team, typically consisting of myself, along with consulting nutritionists, physicians and psychiatrists, work together to help reduce symptomatic behavior, improve physical well being and resolve underlying psychological conflict.
Group therapy provides mutual support and peer networking to assist in alleviating isolating symptoms of eating disorders, depression, anxiety and trauma.
Group sessions are typically structured in an 8 week commitment initially.
At the conclusion of the 8 weeks, the group members and leader re-evaluate their needs to determine if they would like to continue.
In addition, for the parents and families who feel they cannot commit to an 8 week program, there are Parent/Family Educational/Support Workshops available.
