The hardest part is asking for help. This is often an intimidating or humbling experience which is why we will offer you an appointment the same week you call. I'll give you the opportunity to share what your concerns are and ask any questions you need to prepare for our first meeting. It takes two to make a marriage; it takes three to save it.

Problems like misunderstandings that pile up unresolved, losing the 'connection' with your partner due to the lack of effective communication, infidelity, lack of intimacy and other issues can be the causes that lead to a divorce.Whether it is learning to manage anxiety, coping with stress, infidelity, trust, communication, or betrayal, OhioMFT.

Throughout the year we will be offering enrichment groups to assist couples, individuals, and families with providing information, skills, and techniques to get through many of the transitions that life has to offer. If there is a topic that you are interested in that you don't see we offer, please let us know and we will be glad to identify and develop and tailor groups to your interest.
Services
It is not uncommon for couples to wait until they are in crisis before they ask for help.
Sometimes they feel embarrassed, believe they should be able to solve their own problems, or are afraid the situation might be hopeless.
Whatever the cause for the crisis the first thing we have to do is stop the pain.
Couples in this situation are in desperate need of symptom relief to give them the opportunity to experience some hope that the future can be different.
We offer an approach that is strength-based to help you and your significant other identify and express underlying needs in a non-attacking and non-judgmental way so that you can be heard, and your needs can be met.
My career began in the banking industry.
Navigating through the hurdles of the financial world was both challenging and rewarding, but I always felt I had more to offer.
Finally, in 2008, I left corporate America and accepted a position working with families needing help caring for toddlers and infants.
Little did I know that this position would completely change my perspective and permanently alter my career path.
Going to the homes of these families and hearing their stories I began to see a pattern of broken relationships passed down from generation to generation.
My name is Lenora Chapman.
I am a native of Cleveland, OH and I have been raised in Columbus, OH since the age of 11.
My career began long before I realized how vital self care is, or how important both personal and intrapersonal relationship boundaries are in our everyday lives.
Growing up, my mom raised me and my older sister as a single parent.
I watched my mom sacrifice every single day and work harder than the next person.
She never sacrificed giving us her absolute best in any decision she made.
My journey to become a LPC (Licensed Professional Counselor) and MFT (Marriage and Family Therapist) started when I was in Preschool.
I know, preschool is one a very specific time/age, and two an interesting period to begin thinking about counseling.
However, when I was that age, I experienced my biological parents getting a divorce.
I do not remember much about that time; however, I know for sure it has impacted me in more ways than none.
As I got older and became more aware of the impact, I wanted to be in a field where I can help others who were in similar situations as my parents or even children who were like me.
My name is Kendall Coffman.
I am a Columbus, OH native, however, I recently moved back to the Columbus area from Orlando, Florida.
I received my undergraduate degrees in psychology, sociology, and gender studies from Otterbein University in Westerville, OH in 2015.
I then completed my masters degree in couples and family therapy from the University of Kentucky in Lexington, KY in 2017.
I also just recently completed a second masters in higher education from the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL.
