Systemic Psychotherapy
Andrea De Ott has established Systemic Psychotherapy (SP) to bring her years of clinical practice and university-level scholarship to those most in need of effective healing psychotherapeutic intervention. In the construct of a results-driven, patient-first approach, Ms. Andrea De Ott adapts her highly effective and proven psychotherapeutic techniques to the unique needs of each patient.

According to Andrea De Ott, Systemic Psychotherapy is a style of psychotherapy that enlarges the therapeutic elements of the working alliance between therapist and patient into a holistic approach taken from the clinical social work notion of person in the environment. Thus, while systemic psychotherapy aims to change the person's response to its environment; it also aims for change in the systems affecting individual development, such as family, culture, issues of oppression, life purpose, and work activities.

To attain this broad goal, we use a diverse range of clinical techniques, starting from family systems theories (structural, experiential, existential, solution-focused, emotion-focused, among others) and moving forward into more specific techniques depending on the client's need such as art therapy, CBT, DBT, TST, REBT, mindfulness, and psychodynamic techniques to analyze the therapeutic alliance.
Services
Andrea is an experienced Bilingual Psychotherapist (Spanish- English).
She is an Adjunct Professor at Fordham University.
Her practice, Systemic Psychotherapy is based on the clinical principle of integration.
Andrea's main premise is the utilization of a diverse range of clinical techniques (from science and art), but also a broad capacity of introspection (from spirituality).
Andrea developed this systemic principle because she noticed a faster recovery in her clients with a holistic approach.
Flamenco is a style of dance that integrates percussion, musical language, and musical direction.
But overall, it seeks a spiritual connection between heaven and hearth.
It helps individuals reach for the best body version of themselves and bring that into their daily awareness to handle earthy issues, such as relationships, jealousy, tribalism, and increase human connection and happiness for others' successes.
S.P., considers family " the fundamental social institution".
We aim to help our clients in their process to solve conflict, increase trust and human connection.
The FSW training program was created for 'Family Services of Westchester' by Andrea De Ott to strengthen the skills of "the new clinicians workforce".
S.P. owns these trainings, which consist of the following trainings and services.

A training program created by Andrea de Ott for 'Family Services of Westchester' ( FSW) that she has now implemented in the 'S.P. Training Program'.
Summary: Our Internship Program will teach how to effectively communicate, help, work with and connect with all types of clients with all types of mental illness under the supervision of Systemic Psychotherapy, LLC at our two practices in Connecticut.
Learn different techniques for psychotherapy such as: family therapy, complex trauma techniques ( trauma systems, havening) psychodynamic techniques (Jungian especially), mindfulness techniques to decrease anxiety, and neo- Freudian techniques for engagement based on Karen Horney and Irvin Yalom's approach to relational issues in psychotherapy.
Throughout my experience as a student intern with the internship program, Andrea created at Family Services of Westchester, I got to not only learn and practice clinical skills but also grow as a professional and individual.
The program was well organized and facilitated.
From the start of the program, we were allowed the tools necessary to begin our journey as interns.
Aside from one on weekly supervision sessions, interns had weekly group guidance.
Each session provided us with knowledge, feedback, and an opportunity to practice skills together guiding the interns through the entire experience.
