We offer individual therapy for adults, adolescents, and children, couples and marital counseling, family counseling, parenting counseling, and addiction counseling. On this site you will find information about each psychotherapist to see if one of our therapists could work well with you.

We look forward to hearing from you! I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over thirty years of experience collaborating with people to help them find solutions to living their lives more successfully and meaningfully. My areas of specialty include: Individual Counseling, Marriage Counseling, Adolescent Counseling, and Addictions Counseling.

I have over 20 years in working with individuals, couples, and families with a wide variety of difficulties and problems in outpatient and private practice. Anxiety and depression are like brother and sister. They often go hand in hand with one another. Sometimes a person can experience them together and sometime they alternate in a cycle of anxiety and depression.
Services
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn't do than by the ones you did do.
So throw off the bowlines.
Sail away from the safe harbour.
Catch the trade winds in your sails.
I am a licensed Clinical Social Worker with over thirty years of experience collaborating with people to help them find solutions to living their lives more successfully and meaningfully.
I have worked in a variety of setting that include working as a therapist in a child and adolescent group home, family therapist in an adolescent drug and alcohol treatment program and a therapist in adult psychiatric inpatient and day treatment programs.
People are just as wonderful as sunsets if you let them be.
When I look at a sunset, I don't find myself saying, "Soften the orange a bit on the right hand corner."
I don't try to control a sunset.
I watch with awe as it unfolds.
I am a caring, accepting, and interactive therapist who helps give structure and direction in the counseling process.
I take each person's difficulties and problems seriously, but I also have a good sense of humor and often laugh with my clients as we sort through problems that seem so overwhelming and impossible at first.
What makes a happy marriage?
It is a question which all men and women ask one another.
The answer is to be found, I think, in the natural discovery, by two who marry, of the deepest need of the other's personality and the satisfaction of that need.
Marriage can be exciting, enriching, intimate, and growth producing.
Often, however, our marriage relationships are not intimate.
They can be chaotic, lonely, full of conflict and we long for love, harmony, and to be heard.
I have had specialized training in marriage counseling and what I have come to understand over the years through this training and experience, is that couples tend to get "stuck" in using the same unsuccessful efforts over and over again at changing themselves (or changing others), hoping they will get different and better results.
Anxiety and depression are like brother and sister.
They often go hand in hand with one another.
Sometimes a person can experience them together and sometime they alternate in a cycle of anxiety and depression.
Anxiety is experienced with excessive worry and fear.
One can feel light headed and off balanced.
Your thoughts can race, heart pounds, palms can feel sweaty.
People with anxiety often feel a sense of impending doom or a feeling that something is wrong, but you cannot figure out what or where the danger is.
I have extensive training and experience helping people recover from destructive drug and alcohol abuse.
Alcoholism and drug addiction are highly destructive to the person using drugs and alcohol, but it is also destructive to family members and those that depend on him or her.
I work well with people who recognize that alcohol and drugs are creating problems in their lives such as relationship problems, work problems, health problems, financial problems etc.
I collaborate with my client in developing an individualized treatment plan to guide in the recovery process which includes education, identifying potential underlying causes that foster and maintain addictions, defense mechanisms, triggers, urges and obstacles to recovery.
