Rich Wayne, MA, LMFT is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist in the state of California. Rich initially trained at Saddleback Church as a Church Counselor after a successful career in marketing and advertising. That ministry experience was so fulfilling that he went back to graduate school to get additional training and his advanced degree in Counseling Psychology so that he could work with you and yours to feel better and get better fast.

Q: What is cognitive therapy?
Is it the same as CBT?
A: Cognitive therapy is one of the most tested and effective forms of intervention to change how you feel long term.
The basic premise is that you feel how you think.
If you can change your thoughts, you can change how you feel.
I teach you how to do that effectively.
Ultimately, you become your own therapist, in essence.
CBT stands for Cognitive Behavior Therapy and it is essentially the same.
