This includes both the addict and other family members. I also have extensive experience with depression, anxiety, dual diagnosis, parenting issues and eating disorders. Combined clinical experience since 1986, clinical nutritionist since 1995, and a clinical marriage and family therapist since 2002.

Groups are available for addiction and related sobriety issues. Groups are ongoing and affordable. Clean and sober since 1988 and a group leader.

Most of us feel anxious at one point or another, but people with anxiety disorders feel anxious all of the time and it is hard for them to accomplish everyday tasks.
Researchers are still investigating the etiology of anxiety disorders.
However, there appears to be some evidence that some families tend to be more anxious.
This leads to the theory that it may be someting that runs in families.
There is a link between the chemicals in the brain not being at the correct level and a person having anxiety disorder.
The psychobiologic theory basically suggests that the biochemical and genetic factors are related to depression.
That is, the alternations of chemicals (neurotransmitter), the genetic vulnerability; circadian rhythms disturbances and the medications that may be altering the mood.
The cognitive theory proposes that depression manifests itself due to the negative cognitions you formed (stemming from childhood) - negative feelings about self, the world and the future.
The psychoanalytic theory (Freud) postulates that the various micro and macro systems influence the person to learned helplessness.
Relationships are hard, especially between a man and a woman because we are "hardwired" differently.
All couples fight from time-to-time and the latter does not mean that the relationship is in trouble.
After the honeymoon period, the couples feel disenchantment with their relationship.
Discovering this adds the most challenging problem the couples face which is finding a solution to this feeling.
In couple's therapy, the therapeutic work involves many areas of the relationship.
It is reported that about 50% or marriages end in divorce.
However, this brings the responsibility to raise them with the ability to live and function in the society in which they live.
The one truth about children is that they are always changing while they are developing.
Therefore, it is important that we learn about the developmental milestones in order to help them complete them successfully.
The "Hard" parent - they are very critical and do not understand the limitations of the child.
For example, they might say, Hurry up.
You know how to do it.
I am in a hurry.
We only have 24 hours each day and we need to divide the time into three: work, rest and sleep.
If we continue to abuse of the lack of "taking care of your needs", the consequences will be of stress.
It is not the direct cause of our health problems, but it frequently contributes to the development of some of our health problems.
Exhaustion - Characterized with fatigue, anxiety and depression which may appear separate or simultaneously (BURN-OUT).
